Nu una de statut social, nu una \u00eenc\u00e2rcat\u0103 cu comodit\u0103\u021bi de lux, ci o ma\u0219in\u0103 de &#8220;<em>\u0219ofer adev\u0103rat<\/em>&#8221; &#8211; precis\u0103, puternic\u0103 (raportul CP\/kg e mai important dec\u00e2t doar CP). Pe scurt, o ma\u0219in\u0103 &#8220;<em>legendar\u0103<\/em>&#8220;. Asta, evident, venea \u00eempotriva bunului meu sim\u021b financiar. Sunt un tip frugal. Sonata a trebuit s\u0103 sufere ni\u0219te modific\u0103ri micu\u021be ca s\u0103 se apropie de manevrabilitatea Protege-ului dar are aproape 200CP. <strong>Ca s\u0103 ai o ma\u0219in\u0103 legendar\u0103 trebuie s\u0103 dai bani, dac\u0103 nu legendari, m\u0103car serio\u0219i<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Decembrie 2018 m-a g\u0103sit travers\u00e2nd o criz\u0103 personal\u0103 care m-a f\u0103cut s\u0103 m\u0103 \u00eentreb dac\u0103 nu cumva gre\u0219esc investindu-mi resursele financiare \u00een oameni. Oamenii nu vin cu evalu\u0103ri, cu teste de fiabilitate, cu predic\u021bii f\u0103cute de exper\u021bi, a\u0219a c\u0103 investe\u0219ti \u00een ei f\u0103r\u0103 s\u0103 \u0219tii niciodat\u0103 ce prime\u0219ti. RS-ul avea evalu\u0103ri excep\u021bionale. <strong>Domina categoria ei &#8211; &#8220;<em>hot hatch<\/em>&#8221; <\/strong>cum li se spune &#8211;  printre Subaru WRX STI, Golf R, Mitsubishi Evo, \u0219i doar rareori pierdea \u00een fa\u021ba Hondei Civic Type R. Aceast\u0103 clas\u0103 inventat\u0103 de oameni \u0219i de cronicari auto, are constanta c\u0103 taie din luxurile de confort \u0219i folosesc banii economisi\u021bi pentru tot ce conteaz\u0103: <strong>putere \u0219i manevrabilitate<\/strong>. Mai mult, \u00een ultimul an de fabrica\u021bie, 2018, Ford a decis s\u0103 lanseze Limited Ultimate Edition: <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WeLm7wHvdxQ\" target=\"_blank\">limited-slip differential<\/a>, modific\u0103ri estetice, trap\u0103 electric\u0103, cupola vopsit\u0103 \u00een negru, la &#8220;<em>nitrous blue<\/em>&#8221; (singura culoare disponibil\u0103 p\u00e2n\u0103 \u00een acest an) au ad\u0103ugat \u0219i &#8220;<em>ro\u0219u de curse<\/em>&#8220;. Venea \u0219i cu <em>pachet de iarn\u0103 <\/em>&#8211; 1 set de gen\u021bi 18&#8243; (cele de var\u0103 au 19) + cauciucuri de iarn\u0103, \u0219i \u00eenc\u0103lzitor de motor. Cam tot ce ofereau separat \u00een anii trecu\u021bi, acum venea standard. Astea au dus pre\u021bul modelului 2018 la un MRSP (pre\u021b sugerat de produc\u0103tor) de peste 62,000$ CAD. Mintea mea de om normal nu putea justifica o asemenea cheltuial\u0103. Dar, cum v\u0103 spuneam, decembrie 2018 nu era unul tocmai bun pentru mine. Tragediile se \u021bineau \u00een lan\u021b. Nu numai c\u0103 pusesem punct mariajul meu destr\u0103mat dar Ford anun\u021base \u0219i c\u0103 nu mai face ma\u0219ini mici, doar SUV-uri, camioane \u0219i Mustang.  Deci \u0219i RS-ul urma s\u0103 dispar\u0103. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00centr-o duminic\u0103, am f\u0103cut prostia s\u0103 verific s\u0103 m\u0103 uit pe Autotrader. Mi-a ap\u0103rut \u00een fa\u021ba ochilor acest RS. Reprezentan\u021ba Ford din Mississauga cerea 48,500$. \u00centr-un impuls de moment (sunt o floare impulsiv\u0103!), am trimis un email la pleasn\u0103, f\u0103c\u00e2nd o ofert\u0103 de 46,000$. Chiar nu aveam nici o speran\u021b\u0103 c\u0103 aceast\u0103 ofert\u0103 va fi acceptat\u0103. \u00cen Ottawa, pe unicul RS listat, dealership-ul cerea 57K, prin Montreal al\u021bii cereau 54-55K, a\u0219a c\u0103 eram sigur c\u0103-mi vor spune s\u0103-mi v\u00e2r oferta undeva unde soarele nu str\u0103luce\u0219te (\u00een debaraua din subsol, de exemplu). Dar nu puteam s\u0103 las ultimul tren s\u0103-mi scape f\u0103r\u0103 nici o ac\u021biune. A doua zi, la serviciu, uitasem complet de joaca mea din miez de noapte. Am deschis \u00eens\u0103 email-ul personal \u0219i acolo era un r\u0103spuns de la reprezentan\u021b\u0103 spun\u00e2nd simplu &#8220;<em>Vino \u0219i ia-\u021bi-l<\/em>!&#8221;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S\u0103 v\u0103 mai spun c\u0103 mi-a c\u0103zut ca o ton\u0103 de c\u0103r\u0103mizi \u00een cap? Aveam ma\u0219in\u0103 (ba aveam chiar \u0219i motociclet\u0103). Nici unul din vehiculele precedente nu trecuse m\u0103car de 25K \u0219i acum s\u0103ream la  dublu (46K+13% TVA = 52K). Nu mai vorbesc de asigurare&#8230; Dar, uneori e nevoie de curaj, de pu\u021bin\u0103 nebunie. De obicei nu m\u0103 las purtat de ra\u021bionaliz\u0103ri care s\u0103 justifice mofturile dar am sim\u021bit c\u0103 trebuie s-o fac. Dac\u0103 nu o fac acum, c\u00e2nd? Criza de la jum\u0103tatea vie\u021bii (mid-life crisis)&#8230; am deja 48 de ani \u0219i sigur nu voi tr\u0103i 100. Sunt pasionat de ma\u0219ini, de precizie, de performan\u021b\u0103. Ani \u00eentregi mi-am pus pofta-n cui, de obicei ca s\u0103 \u00eemplinesc visele \u0219i aspira\u021biile altcuiva. Iar situa\u021bia mea financiar\u0103 \u00eemi permitea aceast\u0103 nebunie (am finan\u021bat-o cu 2.9% pe 6 ani, deci rata lunar\u0103 a rezultat pu\u021bin peste 700). S\u0103 a\u0219tept s\u0103 o cump\u0103r uzat\u0103, dup\u0103 3-4 ani? Nu se merit\u0103 &#8211; aceste ma\u0219ini, din cauza rarit\u0103\u021bii, nu prea pierd din valoare. \u00cen plus, fiind o ma\u0219in\u0103 de performan\u021b\u0103, nu po\u021bi fi sigur cum a fost tratat\u0103, dac\u0103 n-a fost biciuit\u0103 r\u0103u de tot. <strong>A\u0219a c\u0103 am f\u0103cut saltul \u00een gol<\/strong>.
